Your start to the dog adventure - important tips for beginners

There is so much to discover and learn as a beginner. It's an exciting time and we're happy to help! Here are some tips to help you get started:

  1. Choose the right breed: In order to find a dog that suits you and your lifestyle, find out about different dog breeds and their individual needs.
  2. Socialisation: Remember that your dog needs time to get used to you and its new surroundings. Nevertheless, make sure you familiarise your dog with different people, animals, environments and surfaces at an early stage. This will help your dog to develop self-confidence and be confident in everyday life.
  3. Patience and consistency: Dogs learn best through positive reinforcement. Be patient and consistent in your training.
  4.  Beginner training: Attend our dog kindergarten or our dog basics course to learn the basics of dog training and build a bond between you and your dog.
